The PmodUSBUART module provides a USB to UART interface powered by the FTDI FT232RQ.
The PmodUSBUART uses the standard 6-pin connector to connect to the host device and a micro USB connector to connect to a PC or other USB capable device. The FTDI chip then converts the signal from UART to USB and vice versa.
Note:
There are two UART signal pin assignment conventions in use on Digilent products. This product uses the new signal assignment convention. Connecting a product using the new convention with one using the old convention requires the use of a UART Crossover Cable (not included). Click here for a more detailed explanation.
- USB to serial UART interface
- Option to power the system board through the FTDI chip
- Ships with a 6″ 6-pin cable, and a 6-pin header
